Brandy's second is among the most breathtakingly beautiful albums you'll ever hear.  Brandy sings in the sweetest, most absolutely lovely voice; pure, soft, and gentle; while projecting inner strength.  She sings with confidence and highly refined skill.  She modulates her voice into a perfectly flowing sound that captivates you instantly.

Much moreso than in her first album, one is given the feeling that Brandy is singing from the depths of her soul - she really, truly feels the songs.  Many of the songs have a much more bittersweet feel to them that reflects Brandy's experiences from that period in her life.  This album is a deeply touching experience.

The beats, produced by Rodney Jerkins and the crew of Darkchild, are very masterful, and really help set the mood of the album.  At the same time, they give Brandy center stage (in stark contrast to Full Moon).

The album opens with “Angel In Disguise,” in which Brandy very well shows off that sweet, pretty voice; lamenting over a no-good man who fell for another.  Her vocal performance is strong, true, and emotional.

Next, Brandy is joined by Monica in “The Boy Is Mine.”  The two ladies recorded this song to show the world they're cool with each other.  Whether it dispelled rumours or not, it took home a Grammy for the two divas of soul.  The award was very well deserved; both singers perform amazingly on this track.

Brandy delivers very beautiful, soft, smooth vocals in “Learn The Hard Way.”  The beat flows seamlessly into “Almost Doesn't Count,” which again mixes Brandy's absolutely sweet voice with a hint of sadness, to make a very touching song.

Top Of The World” brings in a thick bassline for a lil' hip-hop flava'.  Brandy sings from her heart about how people judge her based on her fame.  She wants people to realize that she's a normal person.  I really felt this song.  The only thing I didn't feel, was Ma$e's futile attempt at rapping.

The thick beats continue with “U Don't Know Me (Like U Used To),” which has also been featured on a remix CD.

The next song opens with a line that hurts: “who'dve ever thought a guy would want a girl like me?”  This is the title track, “Never Say Never,” in which Brandy urges her man to disregard the hatas.  I can't get with the first line, but otherwise it's a wonderful song.

“Truthfully” slows it down, making a very sweet, mellow song on which Brandy sings with that amazingly graceful, elegant, gentle, soothing voice.

My all-time favourite love song follows, and is one to which I can relate so well: “Have You Ever?”  This song is so lovely.  Brandy sings it soo beautifully.

Next, “Put That On Everything” continues the beautiful slow-jams.  Brandy's singing is absolutely lovely and genuine.

After a cute interlude, the beat picks up with “You Make Me Happy.”  This is a very joyous song, and perfectly performed.

Brandy delivers wonderful vocals on an absolutely amazing and uplifting song, “One Voice;” a taste of her gospel roots.  She's joined by a perfectly harmonious choir.  This track is absolutely beautiful!

The next song is one of very few songs to have ever made me cry: “Tomorrow” is a beautiful but extremely sad song about being horribly mistreated by a monst...uh... man.  This is a very deep, emotional song; performed too genuinely for comfort.

The album is closed by Brandy's cover of a Bryan Adams track, “I Do It For You.”  I'm very critical of covers, but this one is excellent.  It does amazing justice to the original, also a very nice song.  It's very faithful to the original; Brandy must've studied it.    :)

This album is incredibly amazing, beautiful, and deeply emotional.  Brandy's vocals are stunning, breathtaking, and wonderful.  Her voice is the sweetest sound.  I hope to God you already have this CD.  If you don't, stop reading this and buy it right now.  I mean right now!  And if you have it, then buy it for anyone you might know who is unfortunate enough to not have it.
